Founding Spirit (Adopted December 1, 1919)
Mr. Aizo Kobayashi, the founder of the Company, was among the first to adopt Ford's mass production system for the production of transformers, and tried to offer high quality pole-mounted transformers at surprisingly low prices that the industry had never seen through the specialized mass production of transformers, which was revolutionary at that time. The founding spirit of "Superior Quality. Reasonable Price, and On-Time Delivery." which was championed by the founder at the time of the establishment of the Company, has been passed on and upheld by the Company to date.
Corporate Philosophy (Adopted December 1, 1985)
In 1985, DAIHEN was in the process of expanding its business by proactively entering into new business fields other than transformers, such as welding machines and robots. In that year, with the aim of achieving further business growth, our fifth president, Keijiro Kobayashi, changed the company name to "DAIHEN Corporation" and, at the same time, established the corporate philosophy of "Reliability and Creativity," a basic standard of conduct that all employees are required to follow in their work. DAIHEN aims to achieve healthy growth and contribute to society by continuing to create new value while upholding the relationship of trust it has established with its stakeholders.
Our Management Approach (Adopted April 1, 2012)
In 2012, our eighth president, Tetsuya Tajiri, established "Our Management Approach," which sets forth the company's objective of achieving "simultaneous contentment for all" and demonstrates our commitment to the happiness of all our stakeholders. To that end, we have clearly set specific goals — which we refer to as targeted "returns" — for each category of stakeholder. We remain intensely focused on meeting these goals.
One of our business policies is to contribute to the sustainability of society by creating products that help solve societal issues by developing unique products with our distinctive value, which leads to increased net sales and profits as a result. In addition, enhancing distribution of profits in accordance with targeted "returns" strengthens the trust relationship with stakeholders, which is the foundation of our sustainability as a company.
All employees of the DAIHEN Group thus understand our corporate purpose and remain dedicated to working in unison as each individual plays an essential role in realizing it.
